Is the DeFi narrative really shifting or just catching its breath?

It seems every few months we have a new 'narrative' taking hold in DeFi, and the current one feels a bit like waiting for a delayed flight – everyone's antsy but nobody's sure when we're actually taking off. With the broader market seeing some interesting moves, like $TOP up 2.92% today, you'd think there'd be more decisive rotation or new money flowing into established DeFi protocols, but it just feels... muted. Are we just consolidating, or has the real 'innovation' moved elsewhere, leaving the current protocols to wither on the vine? Change my mind.

That's a great analogy with the delayed flight. I've been feeling the same way – a lot of talk, but the real momentum seems to be eluding us. Do you think it's more about the lack of genuinely groundbreaking tech or just market fatigue?

That's a great analogy with the delayed flight! I wonder if it's less about a new narrative and more about consolidation and building a stronger foundation before the next big push. Maybe the 'big money' is just waiting for more clarity on regulations or overall market sentiment.
