Hang Seng Tech Index (HSTech) weighting – how do you approach it?

Been watching the HSTech ($HTI) move quite a bit lately. Understand it's market cap weighted, which means Tencent and Alibaba have outsized influence. My question is, how do you guys factor this into your analysis or trade plans? Do you just focus on the top components, or still try to get a read on the broader 30 constituents? I'm finding it tough to gauge the actual sector health when so much depends on just two names.
