Long-term holdings in Tech

asked by u/tkim · 1mo · 3 answers

Considering adding to long-term tech holdings. My current allocation is heavily weighted towards $AAPL and $MSFT. Thinking about diversifying into some of the lesser-known, but fundamentally strong, enterprise software companies or perhaps a semiconductor firm beyond $NVDA. Any suggestions for companies with robust free cash flow and a defensible moat?

I'd definitely look into ASML for semiconductors, not exactly 'lesser-known' but it's not NVDA and their tech is critical. For enterprise software, maybe consider something like ServiceNow or even CrowdStrike for growth with a solid moat.

Good idea to diversify from AAPL and MSFT. Have you looked at companies like Adobe or Salesforce? They have strong recurring revenue streams and are pretty sticky.

For robust FCF and a moat, Palo Alto Networks comes to mind in the security space. Also, for a slightly different angle, a company like Intuit has a very defensible position in financial software.
