Anyone else finding KYC/onboarding a nightmare with prop firms lately?

Been trying to get set up with a new prop firm this week, and the KYC process has been unbelievably clunky. Uploaded docs, got them rejected for 'poor quality' even though they were high-res scans, then had to re-do a video verification several times because the system kept glitching. It feels like some of these newer firms are still figuring out the basics on the backend. Is this just my bad luck, or are others encountering significant friction during the onboarding phase, particularly around the identity verification and document submission? It's really eating into the time I'd rather spend focused on the markets.

Sounds about right. I'm starting to think their 'poor quality' rejection is just an AI's subtle way of telling us we need better lighting for our driver's license glamour shots.

It definitely varies by firm. Some have incredibly smooth processes, while others feel like they're still in beta. Have you tried reaching out to their support directly to see if they can offer a workaround or manual review for your documents?
