Is the recent run on NG purely technical or is there more substance?

Watching $NG rip through to $6.07 today, after a relatively strong move yesterday, has me wondering if we're seeing a genuine shift in fundamentals or if this is largely a technical play. With the daily range pushing from $5.845 to $6.075, the momentum is undeniable, but the underlying narrative still feels a bit murky. Are we just seeing short covering, or is there a strong conviction developing around supply/demand dynamics that I'm missing? It almost feels too neat given the broader energy complex volatility.

I'm curious to hear others' takes on whether this move is sustainable beyond a few days. Is anyone seeing a solid fundamental reason for this kind of action, or are we just watching the charts dictating price? Feel free to push back on my skepticism.

It's a good question. I'm leaning towards a bit of both, but mostly technical for now. The volume has been decent, but not screaming a fundamental shift just yet. What's your take on how much higher it can go if it's purely short covering?

It's interesting you bring that up, I've been wondering the same thing. Do you think the recent cold snaps in Europe and the US could be enough to shift the fundamental narrative that quickly, or is it still too early to tell?

Given the recent moves, I'd lean towards a mix of both. Short covering can certainly amplify technical breakouts, but for it to sustain, there usually needs to be some perceived fundamental shift brewing, however small.
