KYC/KYB Process for Prop Firms – Any Recent Hurdles?

asked by u/tran_b · 1d · 2 answers

Been looking at a few different prop firms lately, specifically those with more direct market access models rather than just CFDs. I'm curious if anyone has hit any significant snags with the onboarding process, particularly on the KYB side for legal entities or even just stricter KYC for individuals. Are certain regions proving more difficult, or are firms tightening up across the board on documentation and source of funds checks?

I've heard some firms are indeed becoming more particular about source of funds documentation, especially for larger accounts. It's not a universal change, but definitely worth preparing for.

For individuals, it's pretty standard KYC, nothing too wild. The real hurdles come into play when you're trying to set up as a legal entity; that's where the deeper scrutiny and potential delays tend to kick in.
