Payout Processing and Weekend Liquidity

Curious how firms manage weekend payout requests, especially for larger balances? Do the underlying brokers/LPs really clear those out consistently without slippage on Friday afternoon or Monday morning, or is there usually a delay baked in?

That's a great question about weekend payout processing. I've always assumed the larger sums would face a delay until Monday's trading session to ensure best execution, rather than rushing a Friday afternoon clear that might be susceptible to wider spreads. It would be interesting to hear from someone with direct experience in a prop firm's back office on their typical procedures.

That's a great question, and it really depends on the firm and their banking relationships. For most retail brokers, larger weekend payout requests often hit a queue and are processed during banking hours Monday morning, sometimes Tuesday for the biggest ones, to ensure they can draw from actual cleared funds rather than anticipating.
