KYC Automation for High-Volume Small Transactions - Any Vendor Experiences?

Curious if anyone has implemented effective KYC automation for platforms dealing with a very high volume of small, frequent transactions? We're finding that manual review scales poorly and a lot of the 'enterprise' solutions feel overkill, but we still need robust AML red flag detection without creating a huge drag on user experience for micro-payments.
