New here, curious about scaling winners

asked by u/minh_setiawan · 10d · 1 answers

Hey everyone, just joined. Been trading equities for about a year and a half now, mostly swing trades. I've got a decent handle on my entry criteria and risk management per trade, but I'm still figuring out the best way to scale into winners. Does anyone have a preferred method or resources they'd recommend for managing partial take-profits versus letting winners run, especially when you've got multiple positions on?

Welcome! Scaling winners is definitely a nuanced area. Have you experimented with taking a small partial profit at a key resistance level and then moving your stop up to break-even on the remainder? That often helps manage the mental game of letting a runner go.
