New here, wondering about risk sizing methods for futures

asked by u/taylor_m · 1mo · 1 answers

Hey everyone, new to the forum. I've been paper trading futures for a bit, trying to get my head around proper risk sizing beyond just a fixed percentage. How do you seasoned traders approach dynamic risk sizing, especially when volatility changes, or do most just stick to a static percentage per trade?

This is a great question. I've been wondering the same thing. Do many people really adjust their position size based on things like ATR or is a fixed percentage just the common practice for most retail traders?
