Anyone else finding KYC/AML a moving target lately?

It feels like every other month the compliance team at my broker is asking for a new utility bill or bank statement, even for established accounts. Just wondering if this is a widespread thing or if I'm just unlucky.

It's definitely widespread. Regulators are increasing scrutiny on AML globally, so brokers are just passing that down. It's annoying, but standard practice now.

Definitely not just you. I've had similar experiences with a couple of different platforms recently, feels like they're just constantly updating their requirements. Makes you wonder if there's a new directive or something driving it.

Yeah, I've definitely noticed an uptick in those requests too, especially with new regulations hitting. It's a bit of a pain, but I guess they're just trying to stay compliant.

Yeah, it's not just you. Regulators keep tightening the screws, so brokers have to keep updating their records. It's annoying but unfortunately the new normal.
