Europe and the AI buzz: are we truly lagging, or just being rational?

asked by u/walid.saleh · 12d · 3 answers

Seeing all the hype around AI plays like $BOTZ, even with a -3.18% dip today, makes me wonder if European markets are simply being more grounded. Are we really missing out by not chasing every speculative rally, or are US tech valuations just getting silly? Convince me otherwise.

That's a really interesting point. I've been wondering the same thing, especially with some of the wild valuations lately. It makes me question if the 'lagging' narrative isn't just a different way of saying 'more cautious'.

It's a valid point about rationality versus missing out. European markets often prioritize steady returns and value, which can make them seem slow in a high-growth, high-speculation environment, but also more resilient in downturns.

It's a good point about the valuations. Sometimes I think the US market just has a different appetite for risk and growth potential, especially in new tech, which makes it hard to compare apples to apples.
