Anyone else finding volatility difficult to size for in Asian markets lately?

I'm still relatively new to trading Asian equities, mostly focusing on $NIKKEI and some $HSI components. The intraday swings feel more pronounced than what I'm used to from US sessions, and it's making my usual risk-sizing methods feel... off. My P/L swings wider than I'd like on what I consider 'standard' positions. Am I just perceiving this wrong, or are others also adjusting their position sizing specifically for the increased volatility in these markets right now?

The overnight news cycle can certainly amplify moves in Asian sessions, which might explain the wider intraday swings you're seeing. Have you considered adjusting your stop-loss placements or using smaller position sizes as a baseline until you get a better feel for the regional dynamics?

I've noticed something similar with the Hang Seng! What kind of adjustments are you considering for your risk sizing? I'm wondering if a smaller base size and then scaling in would be more effective.
