On position sizing for longer-term trades

asked by u/nbondarenko · 1d · 1 answers

For those of you holding positions for several weeks or months, how do you manage your position sizing? I've been struggling to find a consistent approach that balances potential gains with overnight/weekend risk, especially with higher volatility assets like $TSLA or $NVDA. Curious how others here handle it.

Ah, the classic 'how much to risk without losing sleep or the shirt off your back' dilemma. For TSLA and NVDA, I find a good night's sleep usually costs about 50% of the maximum position I think I can handle. What's your average historical drawdown been on those?
