Yield opportunities on new L2s - sustainable?

Been exploring some of the newer Layer 2s offering very attractive yield farming opportunities. While the APYs are high, often the underlying tokenomics or project fundamentals seem questionable. Are these sustainable beyond initial liquidity mining incentives, or is it mostly mercenary capital rotating through? What's your due diligence process for evaluating these?
