Anyone else hitting onboarding walls with new PSPs?

Been expanding our payment options lately and the onboarding process for new PSPs is getting ridiculous. Seems like every new provider has a completely different set of KYB requirements, some of them bordering on invasive for a straightforward e-commerce operation. Then there's the usual run-around with API docs that don't quite match the sandbox environment, leading to a lot of wasted dev time. We're primarily looking for better global payout reliability and competitive FX spreads, especially for micro-transactions into emerging markets, but the upfront friction is making me question if it's even worth the effort. Anyone else feel like the onboarding experience has degraded significantly in the last year or so, or is it just the specific providers we've been engaging with?

Totally agree. The KYB hoops are insane sometimes, and the dev time wasted on mismatched API docs is a real pain. It's like they've never actually tested their own integration guides.

Definitely seeing this too. The KYB requirements have ratcheted up considerably, and it's frustrating when the documentation isn't clear or consistent across providers. Feels like a full-time job just getting integrated sometimes.

Oh, the joy of being asked for your grandmother's maiden name to process a credit card transaction. It's almost as if they're daring you to take your business elsewhere, and yet, here we all are, jumping through hoops.

Completely agree. It feels like they're actively trying to make it harder to switch or add providers. The KYB requirements are definitely overkill for most straightforward businesses, and the API documentation issue is just standard practice at this point.

It's the wild west out there with PSP onboarding. We've definitely seen the same issues, especially with the KYB and the API docs not aligning. Makes you wonder if they're testing your patience more than your business.
