Onboarding Friction for High-Volume Crypto Trades

asked by u/nicole26 · 5d · 0 answers

Anyone else hitting a wall with KYC/KYB when scaling up crypto volume, specifically when moving from OTC desks to more structured institutional platforms? The initial checks are fine, but when trying to increase limits beyond, say, a few million USD equivalent, the process often grinds to a halt. It's either an obscure document request, or a multi-week 'review' with no clear timeline. This isn't about shady funds; it's legitimate trading capital that just needs to move efficiently. Are there any platforms out there that genuinely understand high-volume crypto operations and have streamlined this beyond the initial hoop-jumping, or is this just the price we pay for the current regulatory landscape? It makes scaling difficult when you can't reliably predict how long funds will be in limbo. Always looking for better solutions than having multiple smaller accounts just to manage velocity limits.
