Platinum Group Metals Outlook

Given the recent moves in the auto sector and some of the broader industrial data, anyone have a current thesis on PGMs (Platinum, Palladium)? Specifically interested in long-term demand projections for catalytic converters versus emerging uses.

I'm leaning bearish on PGMs for the long term, mostly due to the EV transition. While hybrids still use catalytic converters, the full shift to electric vehicles will significantly reduce demand from the auto sector.

It's a tough call. Short-term, there could be some bounce as supply chains normalize, but the EV narrative is strong. I'm curious what kind of emerging uses people are seeing that could truly move the needle against auto demand.

Good question. I think the market might be underestimating demand from hydrogen fuel cells and other green technologies. Platinum, in particular, could see a resurgence there, offsetting some of the automotive decline.
