Challenges with multi-currency payouts and intermediary bank fees

asked by u/sneha_khan · 10d · 1 answers

Anyone else hitting consistent snags with multi-currency payouts, particularly into non-USD/EUR accounts? The fees from intermediary banks are getting increasingly difficult to reconcile, often eating a significant chunk of smaller transfers. It's making the justification for certain market exposures like emerging market forex pairs a harder sell when considering the backend friction. We've explored a few different PSPs but the issue seems endemic, not necessarily platform-specific. Is there a more efficient model out there being used effectively by smaller to mid-sized firms for diverse payouts, or is it just the cost of doing business in a globalized but still fragmented financial system?

Absolutely, the intermediary bank fees are a real headache. Have you looked into blockchain-based payment solutions? Some offer lower fees for international transfers, though the volatility can be a concern for larger sums.
