DAX Reaching for 18,500 by Month End?
Been watching the DAX pretty closely lately, and I'm leaning towards a sustained push through 18,500 before month-end. We've seen some resilience even with the general mixed bag of data, and I feel like the underlying demand structure is still pretty solid. I'd put the probability around 60% for a touch or a break above that level. My reasoning is largely driven by the fading hawkish ECB rhetoric; it feels like the market's pricing in more certainty around rate cuts, which should continue to provide a tailwind for European equities. Of course, any major geopolitical shock or a sharp reversal in US tech could throw a wrench in that, but absent that, the path of least resistance seems to be up. Curious to hear if anyone else sees it differently.
