Anyone else finding KYC/onboarding a major choke point recently?

Starting to feel like the friction in getting new institutional accounts set up, even with established firms, has hit an all-time high. The back-and-forth on documentation, even for relatively straightforward corporate structures, is significant. It's slowing down everything from new prop trading relationships to expanding our liquidity provider network. Just curious if others are seeing similar drag, or if it's more localized to our end.

It's certainly not getting any easier. The regulatory burden keeps increasing, and firms are obviously more cautious. Are you finding it's a particular type of documentation or a specific jurisdiction that's causing the most headaches?

Absolutely. We've been experiencing the same thing on the hedge fund side, particularly with new fund launches. The due diligence requests seem to be getting more granular, and the timelines for approval have definitely stretched out.
