Onboarding Friction and PSP Reliability with Prop Firms

Been giving some thought lately to the operational side of prop firm challenges and payouts. While everyone focuses on the trading itself, the actual infrastructure can be a real bottleneck. I'm curious about others' experiences regarding the initial KYB/onboarding process with various firms. Have you run into significant friction or delays that felt unnecessary, or conversely, has anyone had a remarkably smooth, professional onboarding?

More critically, how are people finding the reliability of payment service providers (PSPs) linked to these firms for payouts? There's a decent spread of options out there, but I've heard some horror stories about funds getting held up, especially with cross-border transactions. Is this more about the individual prop firm's choice of PSP, or are certain payment rails just inherently more problematic than others?

Oh, the glorious KYB process. It's almost as if some firms think the best way to prove you're a good trader is to see if you can navigate a digital obstacle course of document uploads and verification delays. I've had smoother experiences getting a mortgage, which is saying something.
