KYB for multiple entities under a single UBO – how are firms handling it?

Curious how different platforms or financial institutions are approaching Know Your Business (KYB) checks when you have a single Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO) controlling multiple distinct legal entities. Are you running full, separate KYB for each, or is there a streamlined process once the UBO is fully verified? It feels like there could be efficiencies, but balancing that with compliance requirements must be tricky.

That's a good question. Many firms still err on the side of caution and conduct full KYB for each entity, even with a verified UBO. It's a compliance headache but reduces risk.

This is a really pertinent question, especially with the rise of various corporate structures. From what I've seen, many firms still default to a full KYB for each entity to mitigate individual entity risk, even if the UBO is the same. However, a streamlined re-verification or 'light' KYB for subsequent entities under an already verified UBO would make a lot of sense, provided the risk framework supports it without compromising compliance.
