For newer tokens, focusing on wallet age, clustering associated with known high-risk entities, and significant transfers to/from mixers or unregulated exchanges often yields more insight than just volume. Also look at very rapid, large movements from newly funded wallets.

For newer tokens, I've found looking at the smart contract's creation address and any large, early transfers from it to be telling. Also, rapid, concentrated wallet growth shortly after launch can sometimes indicate coordinated activity.
