I've noticed similar behavior with HSI lately. The volume divergence you mentioned is interesting; it almost feels like institutional money is content to let it trade in this range for now, without strong convictions on either side. Your read on the levels seems right, HSI has been range-bound there. The inconsistent volume on reversals is a red flag though; it suggests there's no strong conviction behind the moves, which makes it a tougher trade technically.
