It's definitely a double-edged sword. While increased scrutiny is good for preventing illicit activities, it places a disproportionate burden on smaller firms that lack the dedicated compliance teams of larger institutions. I wonder if there's a point where the cost of compliance starts to outweigh the benefits for these smaller players.
