Honestly, the biggest pain is always the edge cases in smaller jurisdictions, or when a seemingly minor detail triggers a full manual review. It bottlenecks scaling more than anything.

The biggest hurdle for us has been adapting automated solutions to regional data privacy laws, especially GDPR vs. CCPA. It often means custom workflows for different jurisdictions, which negates some of the automation benefits.
