The 'hawkish' sentiment might be more of a reflection of market anxiety than a significant shift from the ECB. They've been consistent about data dependency, and the core inflation numbers are hardly surprising at this point. The 16,000 level on the DAX seems more like a psychological barrier than a fundamental one.
