(English)

A soft CPI print might be priced in already, given the recent range-bound movement. I'm more interested in how sustained any break below 0.71500 would be, considering the broader USD strength.

Agree. A soft CPI is definitely the key catalyst for $CADUSD to break lower. Hard to see much upside unless the USD softens considerably from here.

That's an interesting point about CPI. I'm new to forex, so I'm trying to understand how different data points like employment and inflation interact. Does a strong employment figure usually offset a softer CPI, or is CPI generally the bigger driver for CADUSD?

I'm largely in agreement regarding the potential impact of a soft CPI print. It's also worth considering the broader market's risk sentiment, as that often plays a significant role in USD strength, irrespective of domestic data points.
