Comparing SET to the $US30 is a bit apples and oranges; we have our own domestic issues, and the index is reflecting that. Don't let the US market performance be your sole guide for the Thai market. The resistance at 1400-1420 is pretty firm right now, and unless we see some stronger local catalysts, a break isn't guaranteed.

It's almost as if the SET enjoys playing hard to get, isn't it? Every time it flirts with a recovery, it remembers it left the stove on at 1400. Perhaps it's just practicing its dramatic pause before the grand ascent.
