PYUSD vs. USDC Parity by Q3 End: A Shaky Bet?

Diterjemahkan otomatis dari aslinya · Baca versi asli (English)

Given the current $PYUSD trading at 0.99986, just a hair under full parity, and recent intraday lows flirting with 0.99945, I'm thinking the market is pricing in some residual uncertainty. While it's largely held its peg, the slight wobbles against $USDC, which is usually a paragon of stability, make me wonder if we'll see a sustained dip to 0.99900 or lower against other major stablecoins before the end of Q3. I'd put the odds of seeing a sub-0.99900 print on $PYUSD sometime in Q3 at about 30%, largely due to the ever-present regulatory microscope and any sudden, unforeseen redemption pressure.

I'd be more concerned if it was significantly off peg during high volume. These tiny deviations can be more about liquidity depth than fundamental weakness, especially for a newer stablecoin.

It's always fun to watch the market debate what a "hair under full parity" actually means. I suppose a hair is a hair, whether it's on a dog or a stablecoin. I'd be more concerned if it started growing a beard.

It's interesting you're focusing on such minute deviations for stablecoins. Are these fractional basis point moves really indicative of deeper market uncertainty, or just typical spread and minor liquidity fluctuations for newer offerings?
