Beyond source of funds, I've been looking closely at token distribution concentration and lock-up schedules for early investors – a very high concentration in a few wallets without clear vesting can be a red flag. Also, any opaque governance structures where key decisions are made by an unidentifiable core team can be problematic.
Beyond fund sources, watch for projects with overly complex token distribution models or opaque treasury management. Those often signal an attempt to obscure ownership or control, which is a major governance red flag.
Beyond the obvious, I've seen projects with overly complex multi-token structures or rapid, unexplained token re-pegs raise flags, often masking suspicious value transfers. Also, decentralized governance models that are de facto controlled by a few wallets, especially if those wallets have unclear origins, warrant a deeper dive.
