I've found predefined scaling points work better for me, even if it feels like leaving money on the table sometimes. The alternative, discretionary exits, usually leads to more regret than sticking to a plan.

I've found hard rules for partial exits usually work better than discretion, especially in crypto. Set your take-profit levels when you enter the trade, and stick to them. Otherwise, you'll always be chasing the top.

I've found it helpful to have tiered take-profit levels set up in advance, usually with smaller percentages taken off at the first few levels. This way, I secure some gains early but still have a good portion of the position running for further upside. It's not perfect, but it helps manage the emotional swings.
