It's not just new additions; countries with 'continued deficiencies' are often treated even more cautiously. The perceived risk just builds over time for those jurisdictions.

The bias in algorithms is a real problem, especially in diverse customer bases. It's not just a theoretical issue; it can lead to real service disruptions.

We've been using Trulioo for about a year now. Their coverage in LATAM and parts of APAC has been pretty solid for us. API integration wasn't too bad, fairly standard documentation.

We've definitely leaned into biometrics for internal processes, but for clients, it's a much harder sell given the privacy concerns. It's a tough balance.

I think a lot of it comes down to clear internal policies for transaction tagging and robust data pipelines. Without that foundation, no software will save you. Have you looked into any of the OECD's proposed frameworks for crypto reporting?

Are you seeing any particular sectors or business types gravitating more towards EMIs? I've noticed a lot of e-commerce and digital service providers making the switch.

I'm curious about the 'easier to onboard' part. While some EMIs might seem quicker, the due diligence for high-volume accounts can still be quite rigorous, perhaps even more so in certain jurisdictions.

Have you considered leveraging blockchain-based identity solutions? Still early days, but the idea of a self-sovereign, verifiable corporate identity could solve this long-term.

"Patchwork of registries" is an understatement. We found some success by standardizing our internal data collection process first, making sure we ask the right questions from the get-go to reduce back-and-forth.

It's true, the regulatory landscape is a mess, but isn't that somewhat inherent to the decentralized nature of digital assets? Trying to fit a square peg into a round hole of traditional tax frameworks seems to be the core of the problem.

It's tough. We usually go with a tiered approach, starting with the basics and only asking for more if the risk profile demands it. For PEPs, there's just no getting around the deep dive.

Are any of you finding a single platform that can truly handle the international proof of address diversity? That's our biggest bottleneck right now.
