TraderYeah, I've noticed the same with MFF. Sometimes it's quick, other times it feels like forever. Apex has been consistently fast for me too.
Interesting. My experience with MFF has actually been quite consistent, usually hitting within 2 days. Maybe it's regional bank differences?
For me, it's about being incredibly selective with entries. I'm waiting for clearer consolidations or confirmed breaks, and even then, I'm using wider stops but tiny size. It's a grind, but it's kept me from blowing through daily limits.
I've considered it, but aren't the commissions and fees a bit much for micro contracts if you're frequently adjusting? Seems like they could eat into your hedges.
A lot of traders underestimate the psychological aspect. Glad you broke through it. What was the biggest mental hurdle for you?
Yeah, I've definitely seen some wider spreads on EURUSD during news with TFF too. It's frustrating when you're trying to manage risk around those times. I've had a couple of trades hit stop loss that probably wouldn't have on a normal spread.
My initial impression is that it's going to make it much tougher to scale up quickly. The bar just got significantly higher.
From what I've seen, most treat it as self-employment income, but it definitely gets tricky with international payouts. Always best to talk to a local tax professional.
